American Cochlear Implant Alliance will host the world premiere of a new documentary, The Listening Project, at the CI2018 DC Emerging Issues Symposium in Washington, DC. The film and reception will be held from 5:00 to 6:30 pm. The Listening Project features interviews with twelve young adults who were born deaf and diagnosed late given the timeframe (prior to newborn hearing screening). After the film showing, several of the individuals featured in the film will join us to participate in a panel discussion with filmmakers Irene Taylor Brodsky and  Jane Madell PhD.  Jane was the childhood audiologist and auditory verbal therapist for each of the people in the film.

CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation) captioning will be provided and the film is open captioned.

Coming Soon: The trailer for The Listening Project will be available soon and will be posted on our website when available.

Please arrive by 4:30 pm on March 9th.
