"Emerging Issues in Cochlear Implantation”
Conferences of the American Cochlear Implant Alliance

These Symposia bring together individuals who address cochlear implants in a range of settings—universities, hospitals, private clinics, non-profit organizations, schools, and governmental agencies. The overarching goal of the Symposia are to address the latest research results, discuss the clinical population, and raise questions regarding clinical implications.

CI2013 explored six topics in a clinical research context by presenters who were drawn from a range of disciplines and also across the continuum of care for cochlear implantation. Speakers included basic scientists, ENT surgeons, audiologists, speech language pathologists, educators, pediatricians, gerontologists, and preventive medicine physicians.

· Hearing Preservation and Cochlear Implants

· Cochlear Implants and the Very Young

· Cochlear Implants in Multiply Involved Children

· Cochlear Implants in Single-Sided Deafness

· Taking Cochlear Implant Recipients to the Next Level with Hearing Assistance Technology

· Telehealth and Cochlear Implants
