The mission of the American Cochlear Implant Alliance is to advance access to the gift of hearing provided by cochlear implantation through research, advocacy and awareness. The Alliance offers memberships to consumers, health professionals and health related organizations. Choose the one which best suits your needs.

Consumer Membership


Annual Fee: $10
Consumer membership is designed for the public at large and people of all ages with hearing loss and their families. Become a member and receive these benefits:
  • Alliance Digital Newsletter - Up to four issues of this e-newsletter with personal stories and updates on the Alliance's mission including information on research, advocacy and awareness activities and a status report on performance against goals.
  • Advocacy Alerts - Updates on the Alliance's efforts to work with health care plan executives and government officials and what you can do to make a difference and email updates on ACI Alliance activities.
  • Board of Directors Election* - Opportunity to vote for the American Cochlear Implant Alliance Board of Directors and Chairman Slate put forth by the Alliance Nominating Committee (subject to by-laws regulations).

Consumer members have the option of adding two (2) additional family members to their membership account with separate email addresses for each member. **

*Exclusive benefit offered only to paid members in good standing per American Cochlear Implant Alliance by-laws regarding voting and non-voting members. Corporate members have no voting rights nor are they eligible to hold office.** Only one member of the membership may vote in the Board of Directors Election.

Membership fees are not tax deductible for Federal Income Tax purposes as a charitable contribution.

Military Members

 
Annual Fee: $0
Military membership is designed for all Members of the United States Armed Forces and Veterans with hearing loss, and their families. Become a member and receive these benefits:
  • Alliance Digital Newsletter - Up to four issues of this e-newsletter with personal stories and updates on the Alliance's mission including information on research, advocacy and awareness activities and a status report on performance against goals.
  • Advocacy Alerts - Updates on the Alliance's efforts to work with health care plan executives and government officials and what you can do to make a difference and email updates on ACI Alliance activities.
  • Board of Directors Election* - Opportunity to vote for the American Cochlear Implant Alliance Board of Directors and Chairman Slate put forth by the Alliance Nominating Committee (subject to by-laws regulations).

Health Professional Members

Annual Fee: $125
Professional membership is designed for physicians, audiologists, speech language pathologists, educators, hearing aid specialists, nurses, researchers and other health professionals. Become a member and receive these benefits:
  • Online Membership Directory - Listing in and access to online Professional Membership Directory allowing you to identify your peers (subject to availability)
  • Conference Discounts - Receive discounts on registration for future American Cochlear Implant Alliance sponsored conferences and meetings.
  • Career Center - Opportunity to post job listings for a small fee.
  • Alliance Digital Newsletter - Up to four issues of this e-magazine with updates on the activities and initiatives.
  • Advocacy Alerts - Updates on the Alliance's efforts to address public policy issues related to access to cochlear implantation and email updates on ACI Alliance activities.
  • Volunteer Opportunities - As the Alliance grows so will the opportunity to serve on a committee as a volunteer member. When committees are launched postings will be published for membership recruitment.
  • Board of Directors Election* - Opportunity to vote for the ACI Alliance Board of Directors and Chairman Slate put forth by the Alliance Nominating Committee (subject to by-laws regulations).

Organization Membership


Annual Fee: $1,000
Organization membership is designed for the teams of professionals working in organizations engaged in the field of auditory implantation such as cochlear implant centers, clinics, non-profits, educational institutions, associations and other organizations. Benefits are extended to all employees registered with one individual designated as the primary contact. Become an organizational member and all registered employees receive these benefits:
  • Listing as ACI Organization in the homepage tab allowing the public to view your own entry as recognition of your leadership as an important provider of cochlear implant clinical, educational or other services.
  • Online Membership Directory - Unlimited listings in and access to the online Professional Membership Directory allowing you to identify your peers by organization and individual listings (subject to availability).
  • Conference Discounts - Up to ten members of each organization receives discounts on registration for future American Cochlear Implant Alliance sponsored conferences and meetings.
  • Career Center - Free listings in the ACI Alliance website Career Center.
  • Alliance Digital Newsletter - Up to four issues of this e-magazine with updates on activities and initiatives.
  • Advocacy Alerts - Updates on the Alliance's efforts to address public policy issues related to access to cochlear implantation and email updates on ACI Alliance activities.

STUDENT MEMBERS


One Time Fee: $25
Student membership is designed for students currently enrolled in a field of study related to cochlear implantation. A copy of your student identification card, your advisor’s name and your expected date of graduation are required. Student membership does not require annual renewal and will be active until your date of graduation. Become a member and receive these benefits:
  • Online Membership Directory - Listing in and access to online Professional Membership Directory (subject to availability).
  • Conference Discounts - Receive discounts on registration for future American Cochlear Implant Alliance sponsored conferences and meetings.
  • Career Center - View employment opportunities within the cochlear implant field.
  • Alliance Digital Newsletter - Up to four issues of this e-magazine with updates on the activities and initiatives.
