The University of Virginia Cochlear Implant Program performed our first cochlear implant surgery in 1984 and have grown to provide comprehensive services to adult and pediatric patients throughout the state of Virginia. Our dedicated team of surgeons, audiologists and Auditory Verbal Therapist deliver direct patient care as well as offer patient and professional outreach services.
The mission of the American Cochlear Implant (ACI) Alliance is to advance access to the gift of hearing provided by cochlear implantation through research, advocacy and awareness.
