RI. In May 2019, ACI Alliance State Champion and CI recipient Richard Reed helped spread the word about cochlear implants and ACI Alliance at an event held in Providence RI convened by the Rhode Island Commission on the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Richard answered questions about cochlear implants, shared demos of devices and explained some of the access issues children and adults face. Of course, the major issue is awareness and Richard helped with that.
