To ensure complete autonomy after the initial concept meeting in 2010, none of these manufacturers were involved in organizing or developing the mission of the Alliance. They cannot serve as voting members or be elected to the board of directors. However, each did provide seed money to assist the American Cochlear Implant Alliance in its establishment as a non-profit organization. The Board of Directors is grateful to each for their support and generosity and recognizes them as Founding Sponsors of the American Cochlear Implant Alliance Foundation.
