"Emerging Issues in
Cochlear Implantation” Conferences of the American Cochlear Implant
Alliance
These Symposia bring together individuals who address cochlear implants in a range of settings—universities, hospitals, private clinics, non-profit organizations, schools, and governmental agencies. The overarching goal of the Symposia are to address the latest research results, discuss the clinical population, and raise questions regarding clinical implications. CI2018 DC is a forum for hearing health clinicians, scientists, students and governmental officials to come together to share research and best clinical practices relating to cochlear implants and other implantable auditory devices. Four clinical research topics were identified that are particularly important to cochlear implant outcomes and access. The four themes:

For CI2015 session materials, click HERE. CI2013 explored six topics in a
clinical research context by presenters who were drawn from a range of
disciplines and also across the continuum of care for cochlear implantation.
Speakers included basic scientists, ENT surgeons, audiologists, speech language
pathologists, educators, pediatricians, gerontologists, and preventive medicine
physicians.
