The UW Health Cochlear Implant Program seeks to provide adult and pediatric patients with the best outcomes in cochlear implantation and all forms of hearing rehabilitation. We integrate the most current technology, surgical techniques and approaches to hearing rehabilitation through cochlear implantation on an ongoing basis to achieve this goal. Our center focuses, both in our clinical and investigative efforts, on restoration of hearing on both sides for our patients, whether through bilateral cochlear implantation or the use of hearing aids in combination with a cochlear implant. Our integrated multidisciplinary team approach provides a supportive, structured and patient centered experience for individuals with hearing loss. In addition, our state-of-the-art, tertiary care center includes the American Family Children’s Hospital allowing the highest level of care for patients across the age spectrum
