A cochlear implant program has been in place at NYU Langone Medical Center since 1984 when we were the first in the area to implant patients with multichannel cochlear implants. The Cochlear Implant Center, an NYU Center of Excellence, has implanted over 2,500 cochlear and brainstem implants in children and adults and averages 180 surgeries per year. We offer a full range of diagnostic, surgical, programming and rehabilitation services in a state-of-the-art facility.
The mission of the American Cochlear Implant (ACI) Alliance is to advance access to the gift of hearing provided by cochlear implantation through research, advocacy and awareness.
