The University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System (UI Health) is located in the heart of Chicago on Taylor Street in Little Italy. We perform both pediatric and adult cochlear implantation, and provide comprehensive diagnostic testing for infants, children, and adults. We are advocates for aural rehabilitation, spoken language, and visual communication (e.g., American Sign Language, Cued Speech) depending on the individual choice of patient and family. Our team of multidisciplinary specialists are here to assist patients and their families with their overall hearing care, from the time a hearing loss is first identified to the ongoing care and management that follows. Our cochlear implant program, Happy Ears on Taylor Street, is committed to providing communication for life. Patients also receive care at our suburban location in Elmhurst, Illinois.
