BabyTalk, a collaborative effort between Stanford University’s Cochlear Implant Program and the Weingarten Children’s Center, uses telemedicine to support families of deaf children who live far from the center. Telemedicine is increasingly used to ensure appropriate follow-up in children who have received cochlear implants. The topic was the subject of an emerging issues discussion at the ACI Alliance symposium in October 2013 (http://acialliance.site-ym.com/?page=TeleHealth)
