The Board of Directors of the American Cochlear Implant Alliance is pleased to announce a new funding opportunity: “Quality of Life Outcomes Measures of Cochlear Implantation.” We invite investigators to submit proposals for a research grant to explore cochlear implant outcomes research. Although a variety of assessments have been developed, our knowledge of the functional outcomes of cochlear implantation is limited. It is hoped that this funding will result in the development and validation of Quality of Life instruments specifically targeted to cochlear implant recipients.
As the first major research project sponsored by ACI Alliance, we are very excited to initiate this important collaborative venture with other supportive parties.
