Cochlear Implant Cribs: Multidisciplinary Cochlear Implant Team Video Series to Launch at CI2021 Virtual

Calling all clinics, schools, and hospitals! Would you like to highlight creative innovations or “clinical practice hacks” used by your multidisciplinary cochlear implant team at the upcoming CI2021 conference? This year we are hosting our 1st annual Multidisciplinary Cochlear Implant Team Video Series. This session will focus on creative and novel innovations surrounding management of cochlear implant recipients from a collaborative team approach. The definition of team has changed drastically in the cochlear implant world over the last decade. This session will highlight individual multidisciplinary programs who can showcase unique and innovative solutions to common tasks such as candidacy screening and assessment, patient education and counseling, surgery, outreach, programming, rehabilitation or other relevant areas. In light of opportunities relevant to this past year, please consider topics relating to telemedicine, distance learning, remote programming, or other associated areas.

ALL professionals are welcome, including but not limited to educators, social workers, audiologists, surgeons, trainees, speech therapists, psychologists, researchers, and more. If interested, please send us a short 1-2 paragraph description of your “clinical practice hack” for review. If selected, you will be required to compile a high-quality 3-5 minute video clip highlighting your program’s unique innovation or concept. If possible, please include at least 3 members of your multidisciplinary team in the video and explain the practical details surrounding your novel innovation or approach. We look forward to receiving your submissions. As we all know, it takes more than a magnet to keep a processor on… It takes a village!
