It is with great sadness that we inform the community of hearing care professionals that Dr. Alexander Luryi passed away unexpectedly on September 13, 2023. A graduate of the Yale University School of Medicine, he went on to complete his Otolaryngology residency training at Yale New Haven Hospital. Following this, he completed his Neurotology fellowship at Michigan Ear Institute. As a trainee, he received numerous awards, including the 2021 ANS Fellowship Award. Dr. Luryi was inducted as a member of the American Neurotology Society in 2023. He started the Cochlear Implant Program at Cooper Health System in Camden,
New Jersey and was the Director of the Otology/Neurotology
Program.
