Speech/Sound Coding:  Finding strategies and algorithms for processing sound through a cochlear implant has alway been challenging. With the goal of improving speech perception as well as sound recognition, different coding strategies and mapping techniques can be employed to allow for better speech understanding in quiet as well as in noise.
