🎥 Live Broadcast | February 26, 2026 | 1:00–2:00 ET
Join us for this collaborative course with ACI Alliance and ASHA designed specifically for hearing health care providers who are not necessarily cochlear implant professionals.
This session will cover both adult and pediatric candidacy, providing practical guidance you can apply in your everyday clinical work. If you work with patients who may benefit from cochlear implants, this course will help you better understand when and how to refer.
Learning Outcomes
You will be able to:
- Discuss how to meaningfully review candidacy criteria and outcomes for cochlear implants with patients and families
- Discuss reluctance and misconceptions about cochlear implants with patients and families
- Discuss approaches for overcoming insurance/payment barriers and other issues that may hinder access to cochlear implantation
Course Presenters
Donna Sorkin, MA; Susan Yaffe-Oziel, MMS, CCC-A
