The Cochlear Implant Center at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital assists children who have severe-to-profound hearing loss and receive limited benefit from conventional treatment options such as hearing aids. The program uses a comprehensive team approach that includes a pediatric otolaryngologist, neurotologist, pediatric audiologist, speech therapist, social worker and team coordinator, who collaborate to make the best medical and clinical decisions and provide expert follow-up care.
