Over 2100 implants have been performed at Lurie Children’s since the implant program began. The mission of our program is to help children reach their full potential. Seven pediatric cochlear implant audiologists, five speech language pathologist specialists in listening and spoken language, an educator, social workers and nurse provide comprehensive care. We have expertise implanting infants under age 12 months. We also specialize in complex children including those with auditory neuropathy, additional sensory deficits and disabilities, abnormal ear and nerve anatomy. Services are available in Chicago and the suburbs of Chicago.
