Background

American Cochlear Implant Alliance (ACI Alliance) is a non-profit organization of cochlear implant clinicians from across the care continuum, educators, scientists, parents and consumers. Its mission is to advance access to cochlear implantation through research, advocacy and awareness. Located in McLean, VA outside of Washington, DC, this member driven organization provides information and support to the general public, primary care physicians, health insurance, and clinicians and others involved in providing cochlear implants to children and adults. Position Description

This position involves the management of all information technology operations for the organization including a website that integrates membership, public information, and internal operations.  The position requires strong technical, organizational and communication/writing skills. Technical support is provided via an outsourced integrated website company and an SEO consultant. This position provides an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people and personally contribute to the organization’s growth. Position is remote though the employee must live in the Washington, DC area and be able to meet at least weekly in person in McLean, VA and attend other meetings. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience in website and IT.  Knowledge about hearing loss is desirable but not required. Position reports to the executive director. Salary is commensurate with experience.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

·       Candidates must have completed a four-year degree

·       Interest in learning new and developing technologies in a rapidly changing landscape

·       Strong attention to detail, even with high-volume activity

·       Microsoft Office experience

·       Experience in updating websites and using CRM database
